3D ART - Work from my time at college doing Game Development! (2024 - 2026)

Psst... You can scroll the image galleries horizontally!

These are some 3D renders that I did either for fun or for practice. I enjoy 3D modelling a lot, and I'm proud of the progress I've made over the years. Mostly, I specialise in hard-surface modelling, as I love making props the most. Environments too, but mostly character props and weapons.

Software used: Blender, Krita.

I made the bin in the first image in a 10 minute challenge, and am pretty chuffed with the results.
The plasticine horse statue was for a friend, and I used nothing but subdivision surface modifiers to get the smooth look, no sculpting was used!
As for the alien in his UFO, this was my first real go at doing proper UVs. The aviators were a practice in using materials properly, and I think it came out pretty good.

Weapons and props I've made! The sign weapons were a personal project I worked on to further my idea generation and concept making skills.
Some of these were fanart-type pieces for a comic without any 3D references that I did for fun, they were a useful excersise in turning a 2D sprite into something 3D.
For the most part, I just used materials for the textures/colours, so there wasn't really much outside of Blender that I used.

Software used: Blender.

These are the pieces I worked on for my big college assignments, which taught me how to follow a brief and generate ideas from the guidelines given by the client. The teapot was something I made because I was trying to replicate something that I saw when I went to a museum. I think that project was really useful for me, as previously I hadn't worked much from a real life reference, rather than a static image from the internet. My lighthouse project was a problem. The lighthouse was more of an issue, where I sketched out more elaborate of a concept than I had time to create. However, I would say that I still managed to get my hero asset — that being the lighthouse — complete to a high enough standard. I even completed its UV mappings, though the texture is very simple due to time constraints.

↑ This is as similar of a photo as I can find online to what I based my teapot off of.
